During his ministry years, Jesus worked.
Hard.
Not at being a carpenter or a customer service representative.
He did his Father’s work.
Jesus not only worked full-time, he worked overtime.
He even worked on the Sabbath, which was a big no-no in those days.
A Christian is a follower of Jesus.
A follower of Jesus is called a “follower” because he or she is supposed to follow Jesus’ example and do what Jesus did.
A follower of Jesus is supposed to work like Jesus worked.
Hard.
Full-time.
Overtime.
Not at being a carpenter or a customer service representative, but at doing the Father’s work.
Jesus told us that we have to work while it is yet day because night will come when no-one can work.
Night is coming.
Night is almost here.
When the women wept at Jesus’ crucifixion, he told them not to cry for him but instead to weep for future generations, because if the things done to him were being done “when the wood was green”, imagine what horrors would be done when the wood was dry.
The wood is almost dry.
We need to work now – hard – like Jesus did.
We need to work full-time, overtime, double-time, triple-time, because the wood is almost dry and night is almost here.
The falling away foretold by Paul is happening now.
Hell is emptying.
The demons aren’t in a book written long ago or in a Hollywood movie – they’re in your children and in your parents and in your neighbors.
They’re in the leaders of your country and in the people you do business with every day.
They’re all around you, and more and more are coming every minute.
Pretending they’re not there won’t make them go away.
Calling them “mental illness” or “homosexuality” or “temper tantrums” or “atheism” won’t make them go away.
The only thing that will make them go away is God’s Spirit.
If you’re truly a follower of Jesus, then you bear God’s Spirit like a shield and banner. God’s Spirit is with you at all times.
Go out into the world, under the protection and guidance of God’s Spirit, and blast those demons back to Hell! Blast them back with the same two-edged sword that Jesus used – God’s Word.
Inside every demon-infested person is a soul that has been made to hear God’s Word and to receive God’s Spirit.
Inside every demon-infested person is a soul crying out to hear God’s word and to receive his Healing Spirit.
The night is falling and the world is getting darker.
Time is running out.
“Soon it will be night, when no-one can work.”
The Truth remains the Truth, even if it has been rebranded as lies by a deceived world.
Every soul alive today is hungry for the Truth. God’s Word is Truth.
Feed the hungry the only food that matters – God’s Word.
Most people are starving for it.
Feed them.
Feed them any way you can, but feed them now.
They will hate you for it, but feed them anyway.
Feed them even as they bite your hand and spit in your face.
Feed them even as they steal your belongings and haul you off to prison.
Feed them even as they condemn you to death.
Feed them to your dying breath.
Jesus did.
Jesus worked.
Hard.
Full-time.
Overtime.
To his dying breath.
Feed the starving.
That’s doing the Father’s work.
